Here we go again Crissy
With our speeches and our prayers
And I think I speak for everyone
When it shows how much we care

Fond memories I think of
When I hear people say your name
For family and friends alike

But we keep a candle lit Crissy
In our hearts and in our souls
As we know your up there watching us
Helping us achieve our goals

You played for Ramor football club
No doubt one of the best
And on Ulster day in blue and white
With number 10 across your chest

You scored the point that stunned us all
You had us off our seats
For Crissy Shields you saved the day
With those o so gifted feet

No more window to window chats Crissy
And many we did have
Ill miss the hum of your wee car
With D turbo on the badge

I know that we all think the same
And we know it isn’t fair
We’ll try our best for you Crissy
And we know you will be there

A gentleman a legend a friend
There is no doubt
I know which star is yours Crissy
The one that never does go out

Someone so young was taken from us
It really is a sin
But what keeps us going every day
The thoughts of your cheeky grin

Your achievements they are endless
Your friendship holds no bounds
If we measured kindness by our clapping hands

Not how did he die, but how did he live?
Not what did he gain, but what did he give?
These are the units to measure the worth
Of a man as a man, regardless of birth.
Not, what was his church, nor what was his creed?
But had he befriended those really in need?
Was he ever ready, with word of good cheer,
To bring back a smile, to banish a tear?
Not what did the sketch in the newspaper say,
But how many were sorry when he passed away.
